Home-bound isolated seniors living in their own home/apartment
Volunteers
Must be 18 years of age and older
Must provide a successful criminal records check

Description of Services:
Provides social support, safety, security and friendship for home-bound isolated seniors
Alleviates loneliness, social isolation and stress on family caregivers
Friendly Visiting Program
Provides one to one friendly visiting by trained volunteers who visit weekly to provide companionship and friendship
Telephone Assurance Program
Offers an ongoing telephone link for social contact and security reasons between a volunteer and a senior citizen
Volunteers call on a regular basis, either daily or weekly Monday to Friday
Walk A Bit Program
Provides a volunteer to accompany a senior for a walk on a weekly basis to get out of their home or apartment
