Eligibility - Population(s) Served
Individuals 18 years of age and older
Language Instruction for Newcomers- Must be a Permanent Resident or Convention Refugee, but not yet a Canadian citizen
- Some exceptions apply; call for eligibility determination
Coordinated Language Assessment and Referral CentreAdults 18 years or older who are newcomers to Canada or meet one of these criteria:
- Canadian citizens born outside of Canada
- Permanent resident born outside of Canada
- Convention refugees
- Protected persons or refugee claimants
- Workers admitted under the Live-In Caregiver program
- Applicants under other programs holding the initial letter of approval from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada
Fees
None; Fee assistance available for Transportation Assistance - Bus pass may be provided; Day Care may be provided if spaces are available; assistance is provided by Thunder Bay Multicultural Association
