Description of Services:

Counselling and support for people with type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes (on insulin or insulin pump), gestational diabetes * help to patients and families to understand diabetes and how to self manage the disease - test blood sugars, take insulin, manage medications, make healthy food choices

  • insulin adjustment classes (pattern management/30/70 class)
  • gestational diabetes program transitional program for young adults moving from a pediatric program
  • lipids class

  • weight management program
  • satellite diabetes education centres (Bolton, Malton and Woodbridge)
