Description of Services:
Community Withdrawal Management Services provides support to individuals who want to stop their use of alcohol and/or other substances at home or in the home of a loved one. The focus of this program is stabilization and addressing acute withdrawal. The process involves screening, assessing, planning and monitoring withdrawal symptoms for individuals who may experience mild-moderate withdrawal symptoms when substance use is discontinued. Support includes case management for mental health and addiction concerns, referral to counselling, as well as peer support from individuals with lived experience.
Pharmacotherapy for substance use, cravings, and withdrawal can also be coordinated through the RAAM clinic.
