Description of Services:

Provides a range of specialized services to meet the complex mental health needs of the Geriatric population. Psychogeriatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services are provided to individuals 65 years of age and older with serious age-related mental illness and associated challenging behaviours. Individuals under 65 who fit diagnostic criteria will be considered on a case by case basis. All treatment is provided in a safe environment with patients receiving support in their transition back to the community or long-term care.

Services include:

  • Geriatric Dementia Unit - inpatient
  • Geriatric Psychiatry Unit - inpatient
  • Geriatric Transitional Unit - inpatient
  • Specialized Neurocognitive Disorders Clinic (SNDC)
  • Geriatric Mental Health Clinic - outpatient
  • Geriatric Long Term Care (LTC) Outreach Team - outpatient
  • Geriatric Transitional Outreach (non GTO) - outpatient
  • Psychogeriatric Resource Consultation (PRC) - outpatient
